About This Event

The walk aims to introduce participants to the living heritage of Amritsar by experiencing its historic urban fabric on foot—from the memory of Partition at the Partition Museum, through the traditional urban neighbourhood of Katra Ahluwalia, and towards the culturally significant public realm around Sri Harmandar Sahib.

Objectives

  • 1To acquaint participants with Amritsar’s rich historical and cultural heritage by exploring its historic streets, Katras, traditional urban fabric, and significant public spaces.
  • 2To foster a deeper appreciation of Amritsar’s living heritage by connecting its history, architecture, communities, traditions, and public spaces through experiential learning.
